Allow me to introduce you to...

September’s sponsors. I am beyond thrilled that this set of very talented people supported my blog this month. Please take a moment to check out their blogs and shops. Do you want to be featured here next month? Find out how to here.

Siobhan is one of the people I like to call my blog soulmates. That is, someone I know through blogging that I’d totally be BFFs with IRL. Siobhan is a crafty lady who lives in London and spends her time taking pictures, baking and rummaging through second hand stores. Every Monday she posts a photographic summary of her weekend, and it’s always great.

Sweetcheeks was created to make pretty dresses and skirts out of all the awesome fabrics that people kept saying weren’t ‘appropriate’ for ladies clothing, which I think is a great idea. Sophie finds the best movie and cartoon fabrics and makes classy clothes out of them. It’s amazing how fast her sewing skills have progressed. I’m sure we’ll see much more amazing stuff from Sophie in the future.

Kara lives in Colorado with her husband and her dog. She writes about yoga, meditation and how art saves her life. All things I feel I should know more about.

My friend Clara is a compulsive notebook buyer, English literature student currently residing in Madrid. But most of all, she is an amazing photographer who shoots both film and digital and happens to have amazingly beautiful friends. Besides her photography blog, she has a blog about London, a cooking blog and she also plays in a band. Clearly a woman of many talents.

I am open to swaps and other ideas, just e-mail me.
I started The House That Lars Built my blog a couple of years ago for a school project and it’s since turned into my cove of beautiful treasures. I’ve now opened up a shop in the same name specifically for royal wedding souvenirs, but now I’m launching into more home products.

Rick is a freelance writer  and film enthusiast who recently started a blog about monologues, in which he posts movie monologue reviews as well as his own monologues free for you to use at your auditions. Believe me when I say this man knows what he is talking about. A must-read for aspiring actors and film enthusiasts like myself.

Siobhan’s one of my favourite bloggers. I’ve said this a million times, and I’ll say it again. She blogs about crafts, photography and cupcake-making, and I am constantly jealous of the fact that she lives in London.
Recently she opened a shop on bigcartel, where you can buy postcards of her photos.
Being a lady of many talents, she also has a food blog that you can visit here
Jan is a graphic designer, photographer and composer from the Czech Republic. In his etsy shop you will find posters inspired by mid-century Scandinavian design, eyechard and letterpress inspired prints and vintage objects.

The Heyday Shop

It was hard for me to choose what Heyday Shop products to feature on this post. It’s one of those shops that make my hyperventilate and want to be both seven years old and a retired lady at the same time. I’m sure seven-year-old me would have CRIED over the kawaii stationery section and the impossibility to take it all home, while retired lady me would spend the afternoons quietly sipping tea while listening to Jawbreaker (yes, I intend to do this as a retired lady) and sewing pillowcases.
The product that I’m most drawn to are the super-cute fabrics. I’m a fabric store kind of person, despite having no needle skills (yet). As a kid I would hang out at the fabric shop next to my mum’s and discuss with the owner what patterns we liked more and which ones we detested. She also took advantage of this situation to sell me fabric scraps that she would have otherwise thrown away, but that’s another story. I really wish I had sewing skills so I could buy all of these fabrics:
But if you’re a needle and thread illiterate like I am, don’t panic, you can still acquire the cuteness of these fabrics in handmade products. I’m pretty partial to this ring.
And to this pouch
And now I have some good news:
The Heyday Shop is offering my readers (yes, that’s you!) 15% off Just enter the code STAYUP when you check out.

Michelle March: An Adventure in Analogue Photography

Michelle’s a photography enthusiast from Singapore who was born in March. In her blog, Michelle March, she documents her adventures in analogue photography, using a wide range of cameras and film (I’m so jealous of all the different film types she uses!).
One of the reasons why I love stalking her blog is because she gets to visit places that I’ll probably never go to, so it feels like I travel through her lens.
You know when you visit a blog you love and then realise they don’t have many followers at all and that upsets you? That’s what happens to me when I visit Michelle’s. I find it so enjoyable to look at that I can’t believe more people don’t do it!
That said, you can do it yourself here:
