2009 highlights

2009 was a pretty cool year. Half of the stuff on my new year’s resolution list was done by June, which can only be a good sign. Lots of nice new people were met and lots of good times were had. Some highlights include:
  • Crazy nights in Berlin with Sara and The Get Up Kids.
  • Crazy times in Brighton and missing trains but not really caring.Algernon Cadwallader in general.
  • No Fun At All and fists in the air.
  • The crew reunion. Munich. Sunny days in the Englischer Garten. Mango mojitos. Going to the airport with a massive sign that said “Hi bitches. Get the fuck out! LOL” and seeing people’s faces at the arrivals gate.
  • Improvising a trip to Belgium to see The Get Up Kids.
  • Drinking beer in a kebab shop at the Reeperbahn very late at night with some rad people with amazing taste in music.
  • Beer tasting in Belgium.
  • Living so close to London. All the awesome shows I’ve been to and all the great people I’ve met.
  • Breaking into people’s rooms.
  • Parents being generally superawesome.
  • A London policeman being very annoyed at some teenagers with massive cocks drawn on their faces.
  • Seeing Marta in Paris and a very random night.
  • The crazy octopus dance being brought to perfection. And all the other marine animal dances.
  • Finishing my undergrad degree!
  • Being in London with my mum again 10 years after the first time.
