These two photos were taken in the exact same place, the only difference being that the photobooth has now sadly been upgraded to a modern one. In 1997 we were looking at photos of Hanson in teenybooper mags, planning an outing to an underage disco, buying our first “adult” clothes and eating ice-cream (always the same flavour). In 2010 we were celebrating her engagement, talking about Hanson, browsing the same shops and eating ice-cream (still the same flavour).
My cousin is the only person in the world that I have so much fun with doing exactly the same things we did when we were 13 and, hell, even 3 years old. We couldn’t be more different and we couldn’t be more alike. She’s turning 27 today and sadly I can’t spend the day with her. I was going to call her at midnight and play mmmbop to her on the phone, but she didn’t pick up, so I’m dedicating her a little blog post instead.
